Throughout my teaching journey, I’ve worn many hats; Inclusion Lead, PE and Maths Lead, Assistant Head, mentor, and whole-school initiative leader. But one thing never changed: my connection with children and my passion for helping them grow.

I’ve always had a soft spot for Early Years education. There’s something magical about how young children explore the world – full of movement, curiosity, and boundless imagination. And that’s where teaching through dance comes in.

Why Dance? The Power of Movement in Early Childhood

Dance and movement have been constants in my life. Whether I was leading school dance clubs, running PE sessions, or directing school plays, I used movement as a tool for connection and confidence.

Dance gives children a voice beyond words. It supports physical development, improves coordination, builds body awareness, and boosts self-esteem, all while having fun! And for little ones, it’s the perfect way to express big feelings in a safe and joyful space.
